The Maple Corner Woodworks beds are designed with a superb platform, eliminating the need for a box spring (although can be made in that style). As well, all beds have ten wide slats that securely interlock with hardwood dowels on the side rails. Side rails are joined to the head and footboards with heavy-duty cast hangers. No tools are required. King and California King sizes have center-reinforced support by way of a strong piece of hardwood that attaches to the head & foot board via drop-in hardware, just under the slats.
